We just got home from Focus on the Family Bookstore's 9-12 Patriot Day. What a great event. Our group, The American Cafe, handed out about 500 free Constitutions, Q102 had music, the prize wheel and giveaways and there was free food and drink as well.
Special thanks to Rhonda and Josh who came out to work with us for a few hours. Josh told me he sold about 65 of them. (I'm not sure he got the memo that they were supposed to be free.) They told us about a huge flag flying from two fire trucks on Briargate so we ran by to see while we left for lunch. Maybe the biggest flag I have ever seen.
Several people were interested in The American Cafe. Everyone loved the idea and some will come to our group. Two couples have been thinking of starting some kind of group themselves and think they want us to partner with them to get them going.
All in all a great and exhausting two days!
Now for New Life Church Small Group Sunday tomorrow:
I will be on my own running The American Cafe small group tables for the first and second services after all. Adrienne and Rhonda will be at Women on Target, a NRA shooting event for women. If anyone wants to walk on and help I would appreciate it. I am shooting to arrive at 8am to set up. Adrienne will be able to help with the table during the Sunday Night service.
